It’s July 1st, 2007 and my girlfriend at the time, SkatJoRevo posted an ad on craigslist for musicians and visual artists to put on a showcase. 28 days later, we had 10 bands, 15 visual artists, a sponsorship from Schell’s Brewery and Topper’s Pizza, free coffee and donuts, and hundreds of satisfied fans. This is the story of how it came to be.

Around 2pm, SkatJoRevo typed up an ad for craiglist and asked me if she should post it. I said to her, “If you think you can handle it then, yes.” To this day, I’m not sure if she thought she could handle it. She posted it anyway.
Neither of us knew what to expect. Not even fifteen minutes later, we had our first response from a band. The band was 3 lbs of Love. We both checked out their myspace page and music. It was enjoyable so we confirmed them. Before we could email this first band we had two more responses!
One response was from a visual artist by the name of Shawn Hebrank. The other was from the band askeleton. It was their drummer. He said they could play. Whoa great band, right? I know, but two days later he said that a member wouldn’t be able to make it.. but his other band Roma Di Luna could play if we liked. And we liked!
